Say You Swear Book Review

Say You Swear by Meagan Brandy
Cue the waterworks!!!!! Starting the New Year with a book that gives you all the emotions existent to human kind, I give you, Say You Swear by Meagan Brandy. This perfect piece of contemporary romance was released on February 2022, and it came to my attention on social media late in the year. I finished it in a course of five days mainly because I was super busy with work, believe me when I tell you if it hadn't been for work I would've finished it in a day and I'm a slow reader, so that in it self says a lot about how good this book is. On the day I finished it I ended up going to sleep at 5 am because the last 200 pages of the book had me almost going into a panic and I just needed to know if I was going to get a happy ending, mind you I had to get up at 8am that morning, so I started working with barely any sleep and a major book hangover.
SPOILER ALERT!!!! I got that happy ending thank God!!! Let's talk a bit about it.
Say You Swear By Meagan Brandy
The book follows a group of friends, two girls and three boys, that have become family through out their school years and are now starting college. Through out the years or pretty much since they met, Arianna, our female lead, falls head over heels for her brother's best friend Chase, becoming her first love. After many years of dreaming and hoping for her love to be reciprocated, it seems Arianna finally gets what she has dreamed of since she and Chase first met, but that was not the case at all and Arianna finds herself broken hearted and still having to continue the friendship for the sake of the family she, her brother and the rest of her friends had created over the years, a friendship that was also expected since their parents were also best friends.
A lot of hard and awkward months later and after suffering in silence so her overprotective brother wouldn't know, Arianna finally decides to put in the effort and fake smiles through out all of the many days of get togethers with her friends, Chase included. Little did Arianna know that effort was going to pay off. Enter Noah. A kind, patient, respectful, selfless and overall perfect gentleman. Arianna had met Noah for a very short time during the summer before starting college and while she was still in Chase mode in her heart and mind, that quick meeting with Noah had left a small mark, so when they reunite again in college after their first meeting they quickly formed a friendship, a friendship that would slowly evolve into something more. Noah was the perfect man all the way. Sadly after dating for a bit things change.Unexpected things come to put Ari's and Noah's relationship in the mend and heartbreak comes from every corner, very unexpected corners. Your heart will feel tight, it will break and you might even want to punch something but rest easy my friend, the happy ending is guaranteed, you just have to cry and scream a bit before getting there.
ALL IN ALL I can say with upmost certainty that Noah will become your new book boyfriend and that you will come out of this book with a major hangover. Luckily for us this is not the only title by author Meagan Brandy, in fact she has about 15 titles available if I counted right on her website. Again, give this book a chance and add it to your TBR, you won't regret it.
